I started writing when our son, Tucker, was in the NICU after giving birth to him 4 months early-whoa life. Usually my words plunked out on a keyboard from Tucker’s bed-side in his NICU pod or late at night from our room at the Ronald McDonald House. It was a time of reflection, inspiration and introspection-basically a lot of words ending with “ion” that landed me here, in this fancy pants space writing a shhhh….mommy blog.
In the beginning, posts were mostly about the secret world of parenting a micropreemie-it’s a thing. As Tucker has grown, the post topics have become more random, less mommy and they cover the not-at-all related worlds of adoption, butter cream, burpees and Christmas caroling. See? Now you wanna read. #AmIRight?
Thanks for reading even this far. I’m always happy to have someone else on the team. You’re signing up to bring team snacks right?
P.S.If you have 11 or so free hours and you want to read our whole story-here is our original Caringbridge site-we kept an online journal the entire time we were in the hospital: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/babyhucks
