I’ve seen so many of your posts with pictures of your little ones starting school. Y’all got some ridiculous cute kids. Such a big milestone. We also, coincidentally this week, got the letter in the mail telling us that Tucker was close to aging out of Early Intervention (say what?) and that we’ll be getting a visit from the school system to assess where we’ll go from here to track his milestones and potential learning plan.
After I checked the names on the envelope, realized that they hadn’t actually made an error, and that he really IS only a couple of years from kindergarten, I did what any mama in my position would do. I put that baby at the VERY BOTTOM of the mail pile. Not to be spoken of anytime soon. For the first 6 months of his life, I wanted time to move so very quickly. I wanted the hours to pass with a swiftness that meant he was growing and getting strong and could come home. I wanted the days and weeks to fly by.
I take it back.

The niece and nephew came over for a Cousin Night before school started back. We made these fun snack necklaces to eat while we watched a movie.
Great for fine motor skills too!
