The day. Why it’s hard. And awesome.
On my birthday every year, my mom calls me-around noon usually, and says, " This was it, 30...(er something) years ago, you arrived! Right at lunchtime! It was the happiest day ever!". My grandmother usually calls too- she recounts her favorite story from that day-the day she forgot her own telephone number because she was so excited that I finally arrived (I was 8 days late). First of all, I was overwhelmed with both personal and public responses to my last post-thank you so much for your comments. I debated on whether to post about this struggle that is so personal. You made me feel less exposed by saying in a lot of different ways-"We feel ya sister." Isolation Blues
We've got the blues. We're missing you. We're not even halfway through isolation and we've got the isolation blues. We're so happy and excited about Christmas with Tucker. We love this holiday even more with him here. I cry pretty much every night as I rock him to sleep listening to "O Holy Night".
